Best 8 of my project
We are finally at the end of the semester and now it's time to reflect back on the things I have learned. What I realize more than ever is that I love shooting people. Especially strangers. I used to feel nervous around them, like they were aliens from outer space, but I came to realize they are people just like me and they don't seem to mind having their picture taken at all. I had one man during this whole semester telling me he was camera shy. I don't blame him though , I hate being in front of the camera myself. If I was staying another semester at NOVA I would have continued my project. I loved the interaction between the subject, my camera, and myself. I will probably continue with this blog and whoever is interested can pop in here and see what I'm up to. Hopefully you will see some more portraits of strangers.
Thank you for a great semester!!

Video Portrait
Today I took about 400 images of the same face. I was working on making a video made out of still images. The portrait video is of a fellow student (Emma McAlary). This was not made for my street photography class project, but since Emma is a NOVA student and my project is portraits of NOVA students. I thought I would post this video here, just for fun.

Let's Shoot Some Students
I have decided that I will be shooting students on campus for my final project in my street photography class. I will be walking up to students who are strangers to me and ask them if I can take their picture. I have always liked the interaction between people and the camera. Usually street photography is defined as pictures of people who are unaware of the photographer taking their picture. There are loopholes around this and in my case, I will interacting with my subjects and they will be fully aware of me taking their picture. Let's see how this goes:-)
